Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

You say grace before meals.
All right.
But I say grace before the play and the opera,
And grace before the concert and the pantomime,
And grace before I open a book,
And grace before sketching, painting,
swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing;
And grace before I dip the pen in the ink.

— G.K.Chesterton

What Cancer Cannot Do

Cancer is so limited—-

It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.

Prayer Request:

  • For our Kenya team as we prepares for our short-term missionary trip in June. For health, financial, spiritual issues as well as team building.
  • Margi and Larry, who have significant issues of health, and for their family during this trial. (long term). Larry is being operated on today (5/27/2005) for a procedure that will help his hiatal hernia. There is also concern that he might be pre-cancerous because of family history of stomach cancer. His wife is undergoing her second course of chemo and is very sick.
  • Tim and Debby, as Tim continues to struggle with his recovery, and for their family during this time of crisis. (long term). Tim will be seeing a cancer specialist today (5/27/2005) for treatment options. He is getting stronger but the doctors are saying it will be at least a year before he approaches some of his levels of energy and strength as before the illness.
  • Danny, a young man who recently made Eagle scout has stage one melanoma. He has undergone medical treatment (chemo/radiation) and his counts are starting to climb up!. Also, please keep his family in prayer! (long term)
