How to Survive a Shark Attack:

Step #1 — Stay calm and swim away as carefully as possible.

Step #2 — Try not to bleed. Sharks may or may not be able to smell fear, but they sure as heck can smell blood.

Step #3 — Keep your eye on the shark. Most attacks occur when the swimmer couldn’t see the shark.

Step #4 — If the shark begins to attack, attempt to strike or kick it on its gills or eyes. The nose is also a prime location but you may miss and inadvertently hit its teeth and cut yourself (see Step #2).
